Role: |
Maria advises on all aspects of personal injury work on behalf of claimants in a variety of cases relating to road traffic accident claims, employer liability and public liability cases. She occasionally provides assistance to Tim Nobbs in respect of clinical negligence claims. |
Clients: |
Maria acts for clients from anywhere in the country but considers that local knowledge is extremely important, particularly when dealing with clients involved in road traffic accident or 'tripping and slipping' accident claims. |
Career to date: |
Maria was born and educated in Norwich and joined Rogers & Norton in 1991 as a secretary in the Defendant Litigation Department. She moved to the Personal Injury and Legal Expenses team in 1995 as a fee-earner.
Maria is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives , having been admitted in 2001. She is also a member of the firm's IT team and has been instrumental in writing Rogers & Norton's own bespoke case management system. |

After work: |
Maria is secretary to 1st Taverham Scout Group on the executive committee which assists with fund-raising and the day-to-day running of the Scout Headquarters, thereby allowing the leaders to pass their Scouting skills on to the next generation.
She is also keen on sport, playing badminton and taking part in circuit training on a regular basis. |
