Richard specialises in advising companies and commercial clients in respect of a wide range of legal matters including sales and purchases of businesses, share sales, company buy-back of own shares, hive-ups and incorporations, director/shareholder retirements, shareholder agreements. He advises on partnership matters, including partnership agreements and retirements. Richard helps clients with commercial contracts, involving business clients including franchise agreements, joint venture agreements, confidentiality agreements and intellectual property documents. He also advises on consequential commercial property issues, sales, purchases and leases arising from the above.
Richard acts for a number of medical practices and has advised on partnership agreements, retirements, mergers, acquisitions, expulsions and property issues, including a number of practice moves into purpose-built medical centres on long leases. |
Career to date: |
Richard commenced his legal career with Mills & Reeve in 1970 at the age of 16. He then moved to local firm Russell Steward & Co before joining the legal department of Anglian Water Authority. He next moved to Hansell Stevenson, where he qualified as a solicitor in 1981, before joining Rogers & Norton in 1984. He became a partner in 1985. |
