Role: |
John has over 30 years' experience dealing with commercial and media-related litigation and a wide range of contractual, property and other dispute management and resolution including copyright and confidentiality injunctions, insolvency, libel, passing off, and trademark infringement. He has acted on a number of High Court search and seize orders, both for the parties and as court-appointed Supervising Solicitor.

A very wide range of mainly corporate clients across all sectors, reflecting the broad nature of his experience. John also has individual clients, for example in property and libel-related matters. Recent clients include a leading national home improvement group, the UK 's leading non-accredited ISO certification company and a major UK specialist petrol forecourt design and construction company. |
Career to date: |
John was brought up in Norwich and read law at Downing College, Cambridge. He then spent over 12 years in London with a West End/City commercial firm with a substantial media practice, acquiring wide-ranging experience of dispute management.
He returned to Norwich as a commercial litigation partner at Eversheds for almost 15 years, joining Rogers & Norton in 2005.

After work: |
A former college hockey player, but with a senior railcard, John is now restricted to regular men's doubles at tennis in a remarkably competitive, informal mini-league. He spends as much time as possible shifting manure about his Norwich garden, when not weekending with his wife in Southwold or visiting semi-dependent children.
